Businessman Dhammika Perera, who has been appointed as a National List Member of Parliament for the Sri Lanka People's Front, will be sworn in as a Member of Parliament on June 21, government sources said.
He will be appointed as a Member of Parliament on June 21, the next day of Parliament, as Parliament will not convene this week.
The Elections Commission issued a gazette notification on the 10th appointing Dhammika Perera as a National List Member of Parliament for the Sri Lanka People's Front.
It is reported that he is to be sworn in as the Minister of Technology and Investment Promotion.
