Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken this afternoon (June 13).
The Prime Minister explained the current status of the ongoing discussions with the International Monetary Fund.
He further stated that Sri Lanka is willing to work closely with the United States.
Anthony Blinken has agreed to support Sri Lanka and to promote investment in Sri Lanka after the conclusion of the IMF talks.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has asked US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to extend his congratulations to President Joe Biden.
