A development committee to recover the country from the economic crisis

It is reported that a special mechanism with power is to be built to recover the country from the economic crisis.

It is reported that Mr. Dhammika Perera, Member of Parliament, is going to be appointed as the head of this.

It is further reported that this mechanism will be assigned the task of planning, implementing and monitoring the policies required to recover the country from the current economic crisis and this will be called the Economic Development Committee.

The priority task here is to prepare an action plan to earn dollar income for the country as soon as possible.

It is further reported that Mr. Dhammika Perera, Member of Parliament of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, has already expressed his interest to the government to act as the chairman of this economic development committee and that the position of chairman will have cabinet powers.
