Private vehicles will have no fuel from today

 The government has decided to release fuel only for essential services from today (28) to the 10th of next month.

Accordingly, the Minister of Transport, Highways and Mass Media Bandula Gunawardena states that fuel will be released only from today to the 10th for sectors such as health, defense, power and export industries.

He also said that petrol stations will not issue fuel to private sector vehicles during this period. He also said that the issuance of fuel for essential services is done at SLTB depots and petrol stations by the three forces.

Mr. Gunawardena stated that the fuel crisis that has arisen in the country was discussed at length at the Cabinet meeting held yesterday (27) and accordingly it was decided to issue fuel only for essential services.
