The Department of Meteorology announces that there will be rain or thundershowers at some places in Uva, North-Central, Northern and Eastern provinces this afternoon or at night.
The announcement states that there will be little rain in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
While there is mainly rainless weather in the rest of the island, the Department of Meteorology urges the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
