Kushan, who worked as the third secretary of the Sri Lanka Embassy in Oman, has been arrested by the officers of the Criminal Investigation Department.
It is at the arrival terminal of Katunayake Airport.
The concerned person came to Katunayake at around 3.57 am today (29) from Muscat, Oman.
It is reported that the Criminal Investigation Department had obtained an open warrant for the arrest of the concerned suspect yesterday (28).
Kushan has been accused of sexual harassment and human trafficking against women who had gone to work in Oman on a tourist visa.
Despite such accusations, the concerned suspect has remained in the Sri Lankan Embassy in Oman.
It is also reported that he has influenced the investigations.
It is reported that although various charges have been made against this person before, they have been suppressed due to his contacts with the authorities.
