Prohibition order by Prime Minister on local-district secretaries and village officials.

Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena says that steps will be taken to prohibit anyone including businessmen in his domain from collecting money for festivals etc.

That is due to receiving complaints that certain divisional secretaries and district secretaries are collecting money from business places within the domains of village officials by getting village officials to hold various events.

Necessary instructions in this regard will be given promptly.
